Genetics over chemicals. Requeening over propping up. We write about what we're actually doing in the hives: management decisions, forage, and pest pressure on a working Texas operation. No hobbyist theory, no save-the-bees sentiment. Three generations taught us what survives in Central Texas heat, and every article comes from the yards, not a search engine.

This is where the work gets written down. Mite counts and what we did about them. Which plants actually fed the bees this season and which ones only looked like they would. Queens that held up, and queens we pulled. Some of it will contradict what you read elsewhere, because most of what gets published about bees was never run through a Texas summer. If something here is wrong, tell us. We'll fix it.
